We designed these two boats for the NYPD to improve their response capability for a range of law enforcement and emergency situations that might arise in the extensive system of bays, rivers and oceanfront that surrounds New York City. With a top speed of 40 knots these boats can respond in less than half the time of the older large boats in the NYPD fleet. With only 4 ft. draft and waterjet propulsion they can gain access to the many shallow bays of New York harbor and venture outside of marked channels. The deep-v hull also gives them capability to range offshore if needed.

The all-aluminum boats sport a wide range of equipment and features including: water level rescue wells port and starboard plus a stern platform, an inflatable tender and launching crane, bullet resistant glass and panels throughout the superstructure, low profile for clearance under bridges, a 1500 gpm remote control water cannon, a communications center allowing command and control anywhere on the water, a bow boarding flat with steps that allows teams to quickly egress to shore or vessels, and a NBC air filtration system to cope with exposure to unsafe environments and hazards.
