Arrangement Plan
The renowned Hunt Deep-V hull is here combined with conservative aesthetics to create a custom 41-foot dayboat which is a modern classic. The boat was commissioned by a private client who plans to use her in New England waters.
Her owner envisions a welcoming, casual atmosphere for entertaining family and guests. The "walk-around" layout, in which exterior decks and deckhouse sole are on one level, enhances the safety and convenience of operation, and in particular, the safety of grandchildren and pets.
Cockpits aft and forward have comfortable seating as well as stowage, including a fish box aft. Port and starboard deckhouse doors, in addition to bi-parting, sliding doors aft, make it easy to move about the boat. Hull side boarding doors are also fitted.
The accommodation combines varnished cherry cabinetry and trim with white bulkheads and an oiled teak sole in the deckhouse. Below the dayboat has a combination v-berth and settee, a head with stall shower, and a full galley.
Power is twin Volvo-Penta IPS650s. The vessel is capable of cruising at 32 knots and has a top speed of 36 knots. Hull topsides, deck and superstructure are cored fiberglass with Vinylester marine resin. The hull bottom is solid FRP. All major FRP components were infused.
