Profile & Arrangement
The new Hunt Ocean 63 is our latest design for the Hunt Yachts Ocean Series. The 63 is also the first of the Ocean Series yachts to be designed specifically for Volvo-Penta IPS propulsion.
Two IPS1350s give the 63 a top speed in excess of 32 knots and a comfortable cruise of 27 knots, this with a relatively modest 2 x 985 BHP. Efficiencies are ten to fifteen percent greater than in a comparable vessel with shafts, struts and rudders. Sound levels, with the engines right aft and exhausts underwater, are significantly lower.
The 63 accommodates six in the owner’s party. The full-beam owner’s stateroom is aft and VIP stateroom forward; a convertible guest cabin is to starboard. Each has a head en-suite. The crew cabin is aft, with direct access to the spacious engine room.
Variations are possible, including a four stateroom arrangement with the galley in the deckhouse.
The 63’s hull is the full-deadrise Hunt Deep-V common to all our designs for Hunt Yachts, and so manifests the sea-kindliness, ride quality and handling characteristics for which the Hunt Deep-V hull is justly renowned.
Hull number one (pictured) is configured as a flybridge sedan. A version without flybridge is also offered by Hunt Yachts.
