Regal Boats

The 3200 is Regal Boats' latest entry into the big bowrider market. Big day boats are a popular market segment. A logical extension of the smaller bowriders that have proven popular with families for years, big bowriders are capable of tackling oceans and large lakes in comfort. With all the amenities of a cruiser they are capable of taking extended families and friends out for a whole day.

Regal asked Hunt Design for a hull that would carry a load with efficiency, get on plane easily, deliver competitive speed and a comfortable dry ride. The hull design is the result of the application of Hunt's 50-plus years of experience. Using data from hundreds of similar designs the Hunt designers and naval architects can hone in on the exact dimensions and shapes needed to form the right hull for the task.

Working with Regal engineers Hunt began with careful analysis of weight, power, and loading. The final hull features a sharp entry, a soft forefoot for low impacts without bow steering, nearly full beam from amidships aft and wide chine flats aft to ensure quick planing and good stability both at rest and underway. The project went from design to final tooling and directly into production without the need for post-prototype tuning or modifications thereby saving Regal both time and money.
