TESTIMONIALS
"Well, Jennifer and I completed our first overnight trip and we are still together. We woke to an unfavorable weather forecast of high winds and small craft warnings. We decided to leave Montauk, the wind was as forecast at our stern with 4’ to 6’ seas. We were thrilled the way the boat handled the circumstances. What a solid ride. Great Boat. Peter Van Lanker, Peter Boyce and Winn Willard, you were right!"

"The Emerald Island is doing an outstanding job, the entire Association loves her for her ride and comfort. We travel 28nm to our pilot station at Bligh Reef 24/7/365 in all weathers, it is not uncommon to have 60 plus knots of North wind in the entrance to Valdez Narrows and we have seen it over 100kts often. Consequently, we are either riding before it or busting into it and the Emerald Island cuts the water like a knife. At the pilot station the prevailing Northerly wind collides with the predominant Southeasterly swell from Central Prince William Sound resulting in short and steep seas/swell. The Emerald Island’s hull with her significant dead rise and ample weight allows us a safe platform to conduct pilot transfers in all winter weather situations."

“I’d never heard of anybody being able to do laundry in the middle of a pitching gale. The Eastbay 50 is one great boat: solid, sturdy, seaworthy. I sent word of thanks to the pros at Ray Hunt Design who designed the hull, great job guys.”

“She was perhaps the most seakindly motoryacht I have ever experienced in my more than 65 years of saltwater passage making. Her lines are very Ray Hunt and her entry very Dick Bertram. With her power and stiffened hull she has many more years of use and I hope her new owners treat her kindly.”
